Ink Experiment

Ahh, saturday.

For some reason, I thought it was friday, and I had the day off from everything.
Oh well. Worse things have happened than forgetting what day it is.

Tried to do some inking.. I've seen some basics & tutorials, so, all that's left, really, is to practice, refine, practice, refine, perfect, refine, and just basically DO IT.
When it's done well, it enhances an image amazingly.. when it's done badly.. it distorts and flat-out ruins an image. Pencilers may get big-credit for the look and design of a character, but it's the inkers that make them pop.. and then colourists come along and make everything sparkle & shine.
Of course, there are a lot of folks out there who do it all themselves, and those folks are the ones who are changing the landscape of comics and design, not necessarily for the best (people out of work is never good) in my opinion.

Anyhow.. dabbled back into Photoshop and man alive, too used to the multiple-step Undo-option from Corel Painter. It's the little things that make up life, really.
Anyhow.. an attempt, experiment if you will, in inking.

If you're wondering, the Flaming Sword was done with a custom brush over 4 layers and 6 colours.
